In addition to academic programs in Core 8 subjects/TrackOne and Engineering Science, undergraduate Engineering students may pursue a number of minors and certificates that add breadth and depth to their academic careers.
The Faculty offers paths to gain minors in engineering disciplines such as Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Energy and Bioengineering and certificate programs such as Entrepreneurship and Preventive Engineering and Social Development. In addition, Engineering students may pursue minors offered by Departments in the Faculty of Arts & Science.

Arts & Science Minors
As an engineering student, you are permitted to take a minor program in the Faculty of Arts & Science. Such minors are called “self-initiated minors” because you are solely responsible for ensuring that all minor requirements are met, as outlined by the Faculty of Arts & Science. The Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering has no involvement with the coordination of minor programs.
