Have you ever wondered how to…
– build a $5M real estate portfolio from scratch?
– transfer your engineering skills to running your own business?
– apply engineering concepts to make great real estate investments?
– engineering concepts to build a real estate company
Then join us for our next Industry Spotlight Series with Simon La an Industrial Engineering grad and entrepreneur working in the real estate industry.
Simon La is an experienced real estate investor and entrepreneur. Since making his first real estate purchase in 2009, Simon has grown his portfolio to over 50 residential units (doors) in the GTA and owns and operates a boutique real estate investment company managing over $75M in real estate assets. After graduation in 2007, Simon started his career as an industrial engineer with a steady job in the financial sector, and shifted to real estate after making an impulsive investment during the height of the financial crisis. During this time, Simon realized that to weather the storm and preserve his equity, he would need to understand how real estate worked. While learning to deal with floods, pests, tenant complaints and a host of other property management issues, Simon realize there was a gap in the market that could be solved with a more integrated real estate service offering for investors.
Simon is the President & Founder of Elevate Realty (formerly MyCapitalCorner.ca) where he provides investment insights for real estate investors. Elevate Realty provides a complete experience through leasing services and property management to create turn-key experiences for investors. After obtaining his MBA, Simon expanded his business further by launching a new brokerage designed to support investors and offer end-to-end services which include asset management, mortgage advise and renovation support. Simon is recognized as one of the top real estate investment advisors and managers in the city.
