Wednesday, February 13, 2019
12:00pm-1:00pm

Haultain Building, Room 410
170 College Street (rear of)

Stephanie Overholt (IndE 0T3) spent over fifteen years working at large, established companies Finastra (formerly D+H) and CIBC before joining the start-up Borrowell, a financial services and technical company. Borrowell aims to empower Canadians to improve their financial well-being with free credit score and report monitoring, personal loans and product recommendations.

In the almost ten years Stephanie spent at Finastra, she increased the revenue generated through external partnerships, led the successful integration of a newly acquired organization, transitioned six separate operational processes to a global delivery model, and managed a 50 person operations team located across three sites. Before that, Stephanie worked in Process Engineering and Business Effectiveness roles at CIBC for five years.

In her current role, Stephanie leads the Lending business at Borrowell which is comprised of the Product Management, Operations, and Customer Support for their Prime Loan product. She also leads their mortgage strategy and is responsible for Borrowell’s strategic partnership with CIBC.

In this Industry Spotlight talk, Stephanie will discuss the pros and cons of working at a start-up versus a larger, more established company.

Lunch will be provided. Registration required (form below).
