About the speakers

Flavio Bertolo is a senior mechanical engineer and co-leader of the Mechanical Buildings Team at Arup Canada.  He is a Ryerson Engineering grad with a Bachelors of Education from OISE. He has been working in the industry for 18 years, 4 of them with Arup.  He specializes in chilled water, heating and steam systems.  He has contributed to various projects in healthcare, transit, and laboratories such as the Terrence Donnelly Centre for Biomolecular Research. In his spare time, Flavio plays ball hockey, spends time with family, and listens to audiobooks.

Jessica Yablecki is a mechanical engineer with the Buildings Practice team at Arup Canada. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Manitoba and a Masters of Applied Science from the University of Toronto in the Thermofluids for Energy and Advanced Materials Laboratory. She has been working in the building services industry for 7 years, including the last 3 with Arup. During her time with Arup, she has worked on a variety of Canadian and International projects including airports, transit, and education buildings.
