The Human Factors Interest Group (HFIG) at the University of Toronto invites you to this year’s Inter-University Workshop (IUW) on Saturday, November 17th in Toronto. For more details about the event, including the schedule and venue, please visit: iuw2018.mie.utoronto.ca

IUW is an annual conference-style event that brings together over 100 Human Factors graduate and undergraduate students and professors from multiple universities for a day of research presentations, networking, and community-building.

This year, we are also honored to welcome two distinguished keynote speakers: Dr. Joe Cafazzo (Executive Director, Healthcare Human Factors, University Health Network; Associate Professor, University of Toronto; Wolfond Chair in Digital Health) and Prof. Fanny Chevalier (Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Department of Statistical Sciences, University of Toronto).

We encourage student researchers in human factors and related fields to submit an abstract. Please read the call for abstracts here and register via our Eventbrite page.

November 2: Abstract submission deadline for oral and poster presentations

November 12: Conference registration ends

New this year: Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) is offering a complimentary tour of their facilities for a limited number of IUW attendees. Stay tuned for more details! Note: Unfortunately, the tour is restricted to Canadian and U.S. citizens.
