February Applicant Event - Volunteer Registration - Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering

The MIE Department is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help out at the February Applicant Event on Saturday February 23. This event was formerly called the March Break Applicant event – now at a new time! This event is one of our biggest recruitment events and we need great MIE volunteers to help out and showcase our programs and community to future undergraduate students.

Volunteers are needed for the following positions:

Registration desk
Tour guides
Student ambassadors (chat with prospective students/parents during registration)

There are two volunteer shifts (volunteers are welcome to do both shifts)

Shift 1: 9 am – 1 pm
Shift 2: 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Volunteers will be given a navy blue MIE t-shirt for helping out and provided lunch.

Traditional Land Acknowledgement

We wish to acknowledge this land on which the University of Toronto operates. For thousands of years it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
