We do NOT provide free preliminary assessments of credentials.
The Department of MIE has a minimum academic requirement of B+ for all programs. We cannot admit all qualified applicants; meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.
Applicants whose degrees were obtained outside North America should check the SGS Admission Requirements. The International Degree Equivalencies Chart will help you assess whether you are eligible for entry into one of our graduate programs.
All applicants holding degrees from universities in countries in which the first/official language is not English are required to submit official evidence of English language proficiency. This requirement should be met at the time of application.
This requirement applies to applicants from, but not limited to, Bangladesh, Burma, the People's Republic of China, India, Iran, Israel, Japan, Korea, Latin America, the Middle East, Nepal, Pakistan, Southeast Asia, Taiwan, most European countries, and non-English-speaking countries in Africa.
Applicants may not use Language of Instruction to waive the English language proficiency requirement.
When proof of English language facility is required for admission, applicants may take one of these tests and present the required minimum scores.
International M.Eng. applicants who do not satisfy the English Language Proficiency requirement may wish to consider the International Foundation Program.
