Career Chats: NEW Career Centre Program for Summer 2017
The Career Centre is excited to introduce Career Chats this summer. We know that career exploration, career planning, and job searching can sometimes be ambiguous, messy, and complex, so let's chat about it! Career Chats are informal, small-group, discussion based sessions that bring together current students and/or recent graduates, and a Career Educator to unpack and reflect on experiences, challenges, and questions related to career exploration and planning. We will be using a flexible structure, where participants set the agenda to ensure they leave with clear next steps. Topics of conversation for the summer include: networking, exploring career options, career decision making, job searching. Starting on May 5 to August 25, Career Chats will be held twice weekly on Tuesdays from 12-1pm and Thursdays 4-5pm at the Student Success Centre (214 College Street). There is no registration required, simply bring your questions, a water bottle, and we'll provide light snacks! Together, let's openly ask questions, build community, reflect on our experiences, and develop strategies to navigate the career exploration and job search processes. Log into the Career Learning Network to learn more.
