Professional Experience Year (PEY)

The Professional Experience Year (PEY) is the University of Toronto’s co-op program. It is an optional 12 – 16 month paid work term that students complete after their 2nd or 3rd year. Mechanical and Industrial Engineering students have some of the highest placement rates in the PEY program across the whole faculty with over two thirds of our students participating in the program in a typical year. Our students work in a variety of industries in exciting, hands on engineering positions.
