2011-2012 Mentorship Program Details
This page contains information pertaining to the 2011-2012 Mentorship Program. Documents and forms are listed below. Please take note of these updates:
- Both Mentor and Mentee applications are always accepted.
- Upon successful completion of the MIE Mentorship program, mentors and mentees will receive Certificates of Participation commending their contribution to the program. Review the "Certificate of Participation Eligibility Criteria" for details.
- For the 2010-2011 program year, each grouping of a Mentee + 2 (or 1) Mentors will be reiumbursed up to $80.00 for the year (The amount is down from last year due to the large number of groups this year). If you wish to spend more than this amount please contact either Rahul or Hanna for approval.
- For reimbursement, please submit the reimbursement form (available below) along with receipts to the MIE Office Reception Desk in MC106A. Please allow 4 weeks processing time.
- Receipts must be provided. The MIE Office only accepts original receipts that provide a list of the purchased items and their price. A debit or credit card receipt is not sufficient.
- Mentees should complete the Certificate of Participation form to be eligible for the Certificate and to recommend their mentors for the certificate as well.

MENTOR/MENTEE SPORTS
Reading too much books? Having nightmares about your prof? Feeling like you've lost your athleticism since joining engineering? Join the MIE Mentorship Mentor/Mentee Sports program.
Come play a tournament style game of soccer or basketball once a month at Hart House. Post-game refreshments will be provided courtesy of MIE Mentorship.
CENTRE ISLAND TRIP
Now accepting Mentor/Mentee signups. Trip Includes free fare and free food. The trip will take place either on October 8th or the 15th.

MIE Mentorship provides a great opportunity for upper-year MIE students to develop leadership skills by mentoring first-year MIE students, who can benefit from the experiences of those who have "been there, done that".
