The 1st Annual Research Symposium 2010

On April 30, 2010, the department hosted its first research symposium, highlighting the ongoing graduate research within MIE. The event was a big success, with over 150 students, faculty and guests in attendance.
Prof. Subra Suresh, Dean of the School of Engineering at MIT, gave the symposium's keynote lecture, which also closed department's distinguished speaker seminar series for 2009-10.

The day concluded with a special wine & cheese social where the symposium's top oral and poster presentations were awarded. Congratulations to everyone who participated.
