Overview
The symposium will feature high quality talks and poster presentations by graduate
students on current research in the MIE department. All MIE graduate students are
invited to submit applications to present talks or posters. Prizes will be awarded
for the top talks and posters. A highlight of the symposium will be a keynote lecture
by Professor Gang Chen from MIT
. Breakfast
and lunch will be provided to registered participants, and the symposium will close
with a wine & cheese social and awards ceremony.
Symposium updates
May 16, 2012: The registration period for the 3rd MIE symposium will be open till
May 25, 2012.
May 11, 2012: The registration period will be open till May 15, 2012.
May 11, 2012: The submission period for the 3rd MIE symposium is now closed.
May 7, 2012: For the first time this year, there will be two parallel sessions
for the talks: (1) mechanical engineering presentations and (2) industrial and biomedical
engineering presentations.
May 7, 2012: Acceptance rate is >doubled and about 36 abstracts will be
selected for oral presentation. So this is a great opportunity to present your work.
