Machine Shop

The machine shop provides design consultation, precision machining, and fitting and assembly, all on both prototypes and custom-designed parts. We work with a broad range of polymer and metal materials and state-of-the-art machine tools. Our goal is to support faculty and student research within four domains: the University of Toronto's Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, the wider University community, the University affiliated research hospitals, as well as private corporations.
