Andrew Goldenberg, PEng, CEng, FASME, FIEEE, President of Engineering Services Inc. A. A. Goldenberg received the B.A.Sc. and M.A.Sc. degrees from Technion—Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel, in 1969 and 1972, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree at the University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario in 1976, all in electrical engineering. From 1975 to 1981, he was employed by Spar Aerospace Ltd., Toronto, where he worked mainly on the control, analysis, and design of the space shuttle remote manipulator system and on satellite controls.

Dr. Goldenberg, founder of Engineering Services Inc. (ESI), is a world-renowned developer of robotics and automation systems. He holds many patents and has published over one hundred papers in leading technical journals. He is the President of ESI, and in this capacity has pioneered the application of modular and re-configurable robotics and automation technologies to new industrial niches. He is an inventor or co-inventor of all of the technologies of ESI. Dr. Goldenberg is involved in the day-to-day management and administration of ESI.

Dr. Goldenberg is also a Professor and the Director of the Robotics and Automation Laboratory and the Mechatronics Laboratory at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Goldenberg is a Past Editor of the IEEE Transaction on Robotics and Automation, a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE), a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), a Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC), a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEng), and a Designated Consulting Engineer of Ontario (CEng).
