          Combustion of Emulsions:

In order to reduce the hazards of spillage of liquid fuels during the transportation, it is proposed that the liquid fuel can be made in the form of a gel or emulsion, and then transported. Gelled fuel will not flow easily, therefore it will reduce the spillage problem. In order to investigate the combustion characteristics of this emulsified fuels, we completed a detailed investigation of both drops and pools of emulsified fuels. These results were reported to the New York State regulatory authorities to set standards for the transportation of fuels and hazardous liquid wastes.
