MINXIA XUE graduated from Huazhong University of Science & Technology (HUST) in China with a B.Sc. (1999). After that, she continued her Masters program in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, majoring in Automotive Engineering at HUST. Her master’s thesis involved an experimental diagnosis of the combustion inside I.C. engines using the Optical method. In September 2002, she enrolled in the Ph.D. program in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Professor J. Mostaghimi and Professor S. Chandra. Her current research involves simulation of thermal spraying coatings using a stochastic numerical model, and simulation of droplets impact and interactions using a 3-D numerical model of fluid flow and heat transfer.
