Nasser Ashgriz,  is a professor of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto.  Prior to  to U of T, he was a professor at the State University of New York  at Buffalo. He has been a visiting scientist at NASA Lewis Research Lab, Phillips Lab at Edwards Air force Base, Imperial College, and several other research institutes. 
He received his Ph.D. from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, U.S.A. in 1984.
