SHIRAZ D. AZIZ graduated from the University of Toronto with a B.A.Sc. (1993) in Mechanical Engineering. His undergraduate thesis involved an experimental study of Leidenfrost evaporation of liquid nitrogen droplets. After graduating, Shiraz was employed by the Caribbean Methanol Company, Trinidad, W.I. for two years (1994-1996). In September 1996 he enrolled in the M.A.Sc. program at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Professor S. Chandra, studying the impact of molten tin droplets colliding with a solid surface. He completed his degree during 1998 and now works as an engineer at Stone & Webster in Toronto.
